I wanted to forgive the game for it's strange charm, however it's an unfortunate boring waste of assets and has very few areas of potential.

For a start, it begins with a 10 second intro that isn't skippable every time you start the game. Then there's pointless movie sequences which are falsely advertised in the screenshots and video to look like in-game graphics, which are also by the way not skippable. The storyline is boring, pointless and interrupts the little gameplay the game actually has.

As for gameplay, you begin with a SMUP with more mechanics that are less obvious than a standard Bullet Hell game. Each time I played it, I discovered a new button or mechanic for a level that takes about 30 seconds to complete.

Once you beat it, you are put straight into the most boring and confusing tree game. I have no understanding for the ratios on the right, what the lightning is or coming from, when the fruit will spawn if i must avoid the fire sprites or what they were. Before you have even discovered the mechanics, you're into the next level.

And before you know it you're back into the same SMUP Bullet Hell game again with an even easier boss than the first one because the Graze mechanic is too easy to use....

Then you get back to the tree level and angrily will quit the game. You try to give the game another go later on, but when you see the fxcking 10 second intro and refund the game.

The bongo-man can eat my @ss.

The sequel no one asked for.

You have to input your key mapping every time you start the game (with little indication what you have to actually do), and confusing gameplay that makes no effort to tell you how any of the mechanics work.

I always feel bad writing bad reviews on something people made effort to make, especially if they gave it for free, but this game is even worse than the Digital Homicide games. Doesn't help that the whole thing is also pixelated to death and forces you into full screen. There are also no directions regarding how to even start the game, so I had to press every possible key in order to figure out it was the Z key.

As for the name, as an hebrew speaker I can confirm that it literally doesn't mean anything. The hebrew word on the title is a connection word that can't be said alone, a term used to indicate a direct object, so it's like saying "read the book" without saying "read" and without saying "the book". All you have left is just some random connection word that makes no sense and has no meaning. Only god knows what they tried to say by putting this in the title. I mean, technically that word could also mean "shovel", but I really doubt that's what they tried to call their game.

TL;DR: Get the cards and uninstall. The fact that this game even passed the greenlight system is beyond my understanding.

The theme is struggle.

I fought UC2 four years before beating it, enough time for a teenager to mope and mock his way through the overly sebaceous jungle of high school (changing cliques and personalities as a chameleon shifts colors), until at last -- having struggled to the finish line of a whole lifespan compressed into the accelerated Big Dreamtime of upper childhood -- he's something at least similar to a man. But I . . . I was on the opposite side of the globe from boyhood when Uriel 2 was new. And now I look down, and those things rustling in the wind aren't dead leaves, they're the long-desiccated shreds of my child face.

How could it have taken so much time? It felt like one sleepy blink of my fractionally dimmer left eye, that passage of nigh one-thousand days. But . . . how did this happen? I am, and always shall be, a Rail Slave fan. I've seldom been daunted by difficult games. So what then? My highest self has deduced two things: this spicy li'l package of gaming caught me in the weakest segment of one of my weakest angles, sending SHMUP projectiles at me in eerily organic formations -- and far more than that (I've just today struck upon the knowledge), it psyched me off my feet with the upside-down conceit of "fruit as fire" and kept me hovering for four years. That was it! The unconscious struggle to wring positive fruit associations from my brain proved too great for the half-packet of willpower allotted to my mental reprogrammer, a microscopic Zeebrax with coke bottle-bottomed glasses (they all come so equipped) who never thought anybody would make him stop staring at his hands and actually do something. He never got any better at it until I finally, consciously explained everything. Because fruit is wondrous, no matter the context. Eat it to live longer, much better in all worlds, be it this limitless and quite dirty plane bequeathed to us by the Grand Gamester, or any of the myriad universes of the phosphor rainbow, pocket universes given flickering shape by the sweat and ingenuity of fun-loving ♥♥♥♥ sapiens. You'll shrivel if you don't ingest your daily requirement of citrus, squishy flesh-golem! And on the another level of reality, watch your tender pink asses, gamers! Because Wonder Boy'll pull a goofball face and bounce off to digital Sheol if he doesn't suck down a pound of bananas every second, right? (And I simply adore fruit on top of all that.)

I didn't struggle hard enough to shift my associations even temporarily out of the way, so the Bearers of Antimatter Tribute trounced me, time and again. I struggled with struggle. How appropriate then (especially for this player), that the central theme of UC2 is struggle. For blue-skinned Eve's life has always been hard; she was sacrificed to the Abstraction as a small child, thereby turned into a lifelong plaything of that cold, cruel force. In its characteristic inscrutability, the Abstraction, playacting as Heavenly Father, demanded she bring green life to a barren grid of energy suspended in an inter-dimensional no-man's-land -- only to blast her beloved orchard, the fruit of her bitter struggle, with lightning as she scurried to and fro, arms full of undines, working desperately to quench the ravening hordes of flame born of each bolt. Even in her sleep, she found no respite; the Abstraction turned her dreaming into a weapon against the Antimatter Tributes that, bearing gifts of high-velocity fruit from suitors unknown, forged through no-space to pay her homage.

But unlike yours truly, Eve turned a stubborn face to every struggle, and when Mayim found her and tried to steal the small world she loved despite the Abstraction's caprice, she was more than ready for him. Her life had not come close to beating her; her hardships had been as a whetstone to the blade of her being, and she cut him bone-deep with her determination. "Oh, but my Eve!" Mayim crooned then, still stinging from their battle, "now I understand the error of my ways! Let us share this paradise together!" Do not think Eve is fooled; she will watch him with a gimlet eye. And should he offer no treachery? Mayim will earn his board or be evicted with relentless force.

Buy Uriel's Chasm 2 and learn that the struggle is real. Just beat it in good time, and try to remember, fruit is bad, fruit is bad, fruit is bad . . .

So here's all I have understood so far.

You have to alternate between two different gameplays.
First part is a danmaku-like shot'em up. You are a purple haired guy, and you have to shoot a giant alien boss that shoots fruits at you. You have three bombs. If you graze enough bullets, you can activate a stronger shoot for a few seconds. If you are good enough, you can try to catch identical fruits to trigger a bonus (I don't know what it is yet since I haven't managed to do this).
Second part consists in you protecting trees by pouring water around them to extinguish fires created by thunderbolts, all this while avoiding fire things around and collecting fruits. You can refill water at the bottom of the screen.

I wouldn't say this is worth the price tag, yet if you can, give it a try (out of curiousity).

It's definitely a unique experience and a nice experimental art project.

Other than that, it's far from worth it. It's better to see someone play it than actually play it.
