Caribbean Odyssey

Sorry
...but this looks absolutely horrible. The physics seems waaaay off the mark, it doesn't look to run smooth at all, there's clipping in the scenery and...is he actually paddling the boat from inside?

Yes to all. And this looks to be considered a full release not early access ?

Forgot one. The voice acting is simply horrible.

Maybe better for Early Access?

Ahhh ... yes, he is rowing the boat from inside.

I'd suggest working on the jumping animation. It's very odd!

to put it simple, this game he was trying to release awhile back as finished, when it was in a highly unfinished state.
he then after sometime hid the greenlight, as my guess they were working on the game.

now what im wondering if they did any more progress since then, but yeah still waiting to see some reviews/opinions on the game as it has been sometime since he 1st tried to get it released.

I just gotta say it....I think if you can't hire decent voice actors then don't add voice. I know it's indie but lets be honest, terrible voice overs can ruin a game just as much as terrible mechanics.

As for the rowing, I think that is an open source animation from the unity engine, hence why it looks off.

Do as many Japanese games do. Have sound for each character as they speak for the first time, or certain events and then have the rest as text.

Honestly though I'm still looking for someone to re-create the Pirates of the Caribbean 2003 game.

Even if they did that. I still wouldn't buy this game. They needs to get rid of those VAs.

And get rid of that brown bear. I maybe wrong but I don't think brown bears live in the Caribbean Islands.

Its sad when re-animated skeletons, or other pirates even jungle animals would have been acceptable if they had you go around the South American coast... but no. Lets add Unity assets.

That was a great game.. controls were completely illogical and unintuitive, but if you could get around that it was good.

It only got on Steam because of key bribery. When I pointed this out, I was insulted and told that "I knew nothing about marketing," and "did you ever develop a game? No?"

Yeah, just walk away and remember you wouldn't have seen this if Valve actually cared.
