1) Since the workbench is the first crafting station available, it can be crafted using your bare hands. All other crafting stations can be crafted by using the workbench. In order to make a specific crafting station, look under the workbench section of the crafting book to find the recipe for the crafting station you want to make, (Press B or click on the book icon in the bottom left corner of the screen to access the crafting book.) gather the required materials, and craft it by right-clicking on the workbench.
2) In Junk Jack, shelves can be placed on background blocks, and can hold up to two items. To place an item on a shelf, click the shelf while holding the desired item. Bridges, on the other hand, can be placed on the left and right sides of foreground blocks and can be walked on. Tip: You can drop down from bridges by pressing the spacebar while holding the down button, but be careful! Make sure that there is a surface below you that you can fall on without taking falling damage!
3) Ingots can be crafted into bars or used in other crafting recipes. Ingots are also used in crafting recipes, and some recipes even require both ingots and bars!
4) Unfortunately, you will have to walk back to your base, but there are some special items that can boost your speed! If you're lucky, you might find them in chests or by killing mobs. Some can even be crafted!
I hope that this comment helped you learn a little more about Junk Jack. I'll happily answer any more questions you have about the game, so feel free to make another post on the community page anytime! Happy adventuring!

Edit: Bridges function like normal blocks, but can overlap with ladders and allow you to drop down from them.
5) Can I sleep on a bed without reseting my spawn point?
6) What are some things that are safe to just throw away? The inventory space is so limited. If there is a way to increase inventory space, please let me know.
7) What is a good way to collect resources? I heard changing worlds is good, but I want to know how I can get back to base fast.
8) Is there a way to stop the game from putting things on your hotbar? Or how can I get back the hand icon if my hotbar is full? It is hard to interact with stuff if I am always holding stuff in my hands.
5) Unfortunately, you cannot sleep in a bed without first using it to change your spawn point. However, I think that being able to do so would be very helpful, and you can tell PixBits about it through their Twitter account. @thepixbits
6) You can turn on an option called "item outlines" by clicking on the settings and looking under the "interface" section. This option will highlight your items in different colors to help you figure out which ones are worth keeping. (Red=weapon, orange=reagent, yellow=placeable, green=consumable, blue=tool, purple=treasure, pink=equippable, white=material, and grey=junk.) What you should keep or throw away is up to you, but if you check an item's color, it might just turn out to be way rarer than you would otherwise expect!
7) Creating new worlds, using them to collect resources, and then deleting them is an effective way to collect resources. If the world you are using to collect resources does not contain anything important, such as your base, you can dig straight down and delete the world after you find what you are looking for. Let's say that you're collecting resources on the planet that houses your home base. In this case, it would be optimal to start digging right next to your home base for quick access to your mine. Two great methods of mining are 1) creating a diagonal hole that you can walk up and down or 2) digging straight down and placing a bridge on every other block on your way down. (Option 1 is the cheaper of the two.) Always make sure to place light sources (Torches are the cheapest, but they are still very effective!) to ensure that you don't miss anything valuable and to prevent monsters from spawning!
8) An option called "keep last slot empty" will prevent drops from filling the last slot of your hotbar, and turning it on is a great way to always have a free hand! You can access it by clicking on the settings and then going to the second page of the "gameplay" section. There is no way to increase inventory size, but you can craft chests and use them to store your items. The higher the quality of the item you craft the chests out of, the more pages it will have! By digging around on different planets, you can very rarely obtain a Bottomless Chest Piece. If you find all three of the pieces (Left, center, and right.) and then arrange them correctly in the crafting grid, you can craft a Bottomless Chest. It's not actually bottomless, but it sure has a bunch of pages!
Happy adventuring!
