Where is the game? Where is our refund?
If you remove the game completely, at least give us a REFUND. The least you could do.

Good luck finding them, the company is gone. Unless steam can give the refunds personally, I doubt Virtual toys will, they most likely used it all to pay the debts they still owe and it still wasn't enough.

Company gave such a bad rep for this game and used the game for other purposes. It could've been good had they done more for it.

Where did you see that the company went under? I can't find anything on that.

It's in spanish, there is no english article about what happen to this company. The company themselves did not say anything official they wanted to keep it all quiet, but two spanish sites that check on statuses of companies state that Virtual Toys is out of business.

The main website for their company and for the Pirates game are down, so that's probably some proof of that they are no longer around, but who knows.

i thought i was going crazy when i couldnt find it either.

i feel bad for people who put money down for this but thats what happens when you fall for the pre-alpha/beta scam. you agreed to pay for something that has no promise of ever being finished and theres nothing u can do about it

the game sucked anyways. compared to its trailer released 2013, there was no changes made to the game in 3 years

I don't know what they were thinking throwing this game on Steam. The PC version made the PS4 version look much better. Many skills/abilities were not updated/tweaked compared to the PS4 version. It really looked like ♥♥♥♥.

Don't hate the game, if the game had the publisher who can fund more money, this would've been great.

Hate the studio Virtual Toys for giving up on the game 2 weeks after NA launch, and not utilizing their remaining resources on advertisements. And used the game to pay their debts before they were dissolved as a company,

im pretty sure you cant and the idea would be regarded as laughable by the industry.

every pre-whatever game has the tag line of being unfinished and no promise it will ever be finished and any expense is at ur cost (no pun).

(not to be negative about it)

Yes, that is true, but there are exceptions.

I am with Spartacus. Maybe we could all just start a GOFUNDME to sue crooked game companies like this one.

These dudes are thieves.

How? The company is gone, there is no way of contacting them unless there is someone here who lives in Spain who can check the location of their studio headquarters.

The only ones remain are CEO and 2-3 people who were under him but where are they? I have no idea. All developers were fired,
I have found one former employee but has not answered me, or perhaps abandoned his facebook account as well.

Unless you planning on filing that lawsuit against Steam. There were a lot of Playstation players who paid for the game's gold transaction, quite a few bought the unreasonably overpriced $100 bundle. I'm not sure if they even recieved refunds for what happened.

Someone left a review for the company stating he worked there, if he is a legit former employee then he might have some answers:

There was another game that Virtual Toys was supposedly involved in that has yet to be released. Though this was for consoles has not stated was going to bring it for PC. It was the same case of Pirate Treasure Hunters, it was going to be released for PS4 console initially, there was never any plans to bring a global version of Pirate Treasure Hunters on PC.
