Gundamn and sonia relationship

I assume this is some obvious stuff but just to clear it up they were dating right? I want to know how and why reason being is because they did have a special relationship and when referencing virgin blood I remember sonia saying that they cannot use hers. Also I really disliked sonia as a character as well her and dancer girl.

In the original Japanese, Gundham is referring to a young girl and Sonia laments at the fact that she isn't a child. It makes no actual mention of virgin blood, but they opportunized on it for the English localization.

I recall someone explaining that it may be a different use of the word "virgin" than we English-speakers first think. It could refer to whether she's used her blood in a ritual before. If this wasn't her first demon ritual (which, let's face it: as weird as that girl is, and being the ruler of a country, I wouldn't put it past her), that would also mean she doesn't have "virgin" blood.

Or it could mean she's had sex before. One of the two.

I like souda more mainly because he is more useful and I found gundamn kinda annoying

To you maybe, but if you think about it from Sonia's perspective, Souda would have been a lot more annoying. He kept making advances at her, even after she got annoyed and made it clear she wasn't interested in him at all.

Meanwhile Gundham is a kind person (for all his "I'm an evil dark lord" bluster) who is odd in a way she thinks is interesting. And he never bothered her or hit on her.

The word Virgin and Young are similar or something in japanese, Sonia is a foreigner so she misunderstands what Gundam is saying and says she doesn't have that blood because she's not young.
