Mikan's backstory (spoilers)
So MIkan's family abused her right? Based on filling out her report card, that's probably why she became a Remnant in the first place. But I still don't get who "he" is when she referenced "her beloved" in the third trial. I just feel so bad for her :(

Did you beat the game? The final trial should explain who Mikan's beloved is.

Ok, I went and read the wiki. Now I get it, I just didnt put that together the first time around. I can't watch the despair and hope arcs until after I play UDG so I havent gotten that far

Well, I have no idea who the "beloved" is but I think that perhaps there is no beloved? Of course this is dumb but I think it may be what she sees in everyone rather than a physical person. She always wants forgiveness and the class gives it to her (until trial 3) and so she sees them as her "beloved" class. It could also be someone imaginary who helped through her tough times that just manifested what she wanted from her family, or the same thing with an actual human. Just my thoughts.

The ending of the game gives a pretty good idea who Mikan's beloved is. As a member of the Ultimate Despair, more than likely, Junko Enoshima was Mikan's beloved.

Apparently, Junko is the beloved. Somewhere during the Despair arc of the anime, it shows her when she turned her into a Remnant.

Though I like your idea it is 100% confirmed through the anime that junko is mikan's beloved as she refers to them several times as 'my beloved' and she acts quite romantically towards them

Oh, true. Suppose I didn't notice that over me skipping all the parts wih Mikan. Anyways, pretty humerous having three people say the same thing!

I'm still really confused, because it doesn't really make much sense to me that's who her beloved would be, since the Neo World Program should've wiped her memory of before she even met Junko, so I don't quite see how it could've been done.

To add to my last post, I've only played D1 and D2, I haven't played UDG or watched/read anything outside of those two games.

because remember chapter 3, the despair disease causes a random symptom. They specifically said that the disease gave Mikan her memory back.

Well, to be honest, "he" is actually a "she." Junko Enoshima, to be precise.

I find it funny how Mikan killed Hyoko, who bullied her throughout the enitre game, but Hyoko's bullying had nothing to do with her actual murder at Mikan's hands.

Because Mikan WANTED Hiyoko to bully her. I don't really like it when people say that "Mikan gets her revenge" or "she's the person who most deserved to kill Hiyoko", because that ignores her character. She wants to be bullied, so she'd never kill someone who's doing that to her.

What chapter are you even on? If you've beaten the game then did you forget Mikan DOES kill Hiyoko, so saying that she'd never kill ehr because she liked to be bullied is false

Mikan only murdered Hiyoko because she just so happened to walk in on Mikan manipulating the crime scene with Ibuki's corpse, not because Mikan wanted revenge for the bullying.
