Why did Mikan go through all the trouble of showing Hajime the video of "Ibuki" hanging herself? She could have killed Ibuki, hung her in the music venue, and then go back to the hospital and she would have gotten off scot free. Hell, on that note, why did she not just tell Ibuki to ACTUALLY commit suicide? Why kill her yourself when just telling her to commit suicide would leave no evidence, AND leave one less victim since all a second victim does is leave more clues?

Ultimately, most of Mikan's shady behaviour in the trial can be handwaved by her remembering her past as an Ultimate Despair and thus, trying to inflict as much despair as possible on the group in her murder scheme. Hence why she broadcast the "murder" and chose to strangle Ibuki herself rather than tell her to hang herself.
