What's the deal with the Female and Male Symbols surrounding Mikan?

On the Trailer, you had her besides them, on the Close-up from Chapter 3 after she snaps you can see a tiny male-symbol aswell, so what's the deal?

I have just finished Chapter 3, so if that gets explained further into the game for some mysterious reason, please enlighten me.

To be quite honest, quite a lot of people can be considered bisexual in the game, funnily enough.
Or LGBT, to be exact.

i dont know about the other characters metion here But i dont think is as black and white some people here are making it seem.

Now about Mikan a chaacter i know lots about she got bully by both men and women really hard posibly sexualy. if her stuff in the chiaki manga and other sources is true

and before anyone says but but she loves Junko. Junko ♥♥♥♥ her mind up and well Everyone Loves her every single member exept Izu.

also there the whole japanese tropes thing Culture bonding ect.
