I always hated Hangmans Gambit, trying to guess the word was enough of a trouble but having to wait for letters to appear and then having them all suddenly come on screen at once was realllyyy annoying. I'm ok at it now but its still a pain :/
I'm not a fan of Hangman's Gambit because I always know the general idea of what they want but I'm no good at figuring out the exact wording. I usually end up Googling the answer just to save time and resets. PTAs are also awful and I have to resort to brother provided help to finish them!
Hangman's Gambit definitely. I was able to guess all the words pretty easily, but waiting for letters to appear really sucked.

I actually liked Rebuttal Showdown.
Rebuttal Showdown, while difficult at times, was pretty dope. I really didn't care for the new mechanic of BTB/PTA.
Rebuttal Showdown is nice, Hangman however isn't very good. They should've gone back to giving hints by filling in partial amounts of the answer.
RS has my favourite music in the series (but the V3 version is better), and the gameplay is fun and tactical. HG can go ♥♥♥♥ itself. I hate it. It is cancerous.
Hangman's gambit. There's a reason it was one of the most changed mechanic in the sequel.
Personally, I've always hated Hangman's Gambit because it doesn't give you any options (which is very confusing if you don't have a clue to what it's asking). It's also difficult to use in DR2. In v3, it's a lot easier so I hate it less, but still.

I didn't like Rebuttal Showdown, but IMO Hangman's Gambit was the worst hands down.
Obvious answer: Improved Hangman's Gambit.
Seriously, you just gonna find Letters in limited amount of time, but the Letters are either so slow (If you don't use Ctrl very much.) or too fast depending on what Class Trial and Phase. When they're too slow, I feel like I'm playing a game in 0.001 Frames Per Second. I get that the game isn't meant to be rushed through and shouldn't hold the Player's hand (If you dare play DPS mode in the god d**n f**king game. No offense to anyone.), but when it's too fast, I lose so much Influence that it might take a hell amount of time to recover from that. I played the game in Mean Mode after Class Trial 1 and was using the guide (I apologize for that, but hey, at least I bought the actual game rather than buying the game from someone else for free.).
I found the fast-paced ones later to be more fun than the super slow ones earlier in the game. You have to be fast with the mouse to avoid too many collisions, but it's definitely more exciting than just holding Ctrl all day.
I actually think the faster ones were worse. Yes they were boring but the fast ones were too fast to actually do it well and I got angry at the game. I should only be angry at characters like Hiyoko, not game segments.
intresting reading this; just finished the game and i liked the hangmans gambit the most;

theres really not a bad minigame, they are all very enterrtaining; thats why i liked the game overall very much

i wished theyd use more riddles during the investigation and dayly life times; these always tend to drag so much

Hangman's gambit was tolerable until the two last trials. It got WAY too insane.

I personally hated panic time. There was no challenge, it never got harder or changed up anything, and you could just use fever time for most of it.
I like my panic attacks like I like my counters: Used when the other person tries to pull a fast one.
