Which game should I get? Danganronpa 1 or 2?

Basically title. I want to know which one I should get considering there's a sale this weekend.

Danganronpa v1 is also animated so recommend watching it and then playing v2 since I like the story of v2 more~ and yes danganronpa 2 is a sequel of v1

Danganronpa one isn't v1--v3 main story is independent of the Hope's Peak Arc. That said--I vote for both because if you watch the DR1 anime you're going to miss a lot of nuances and content that couldn't be shoved into a 13 episode anime.

Danganronpa 1 has an anime, watch it and play Dangaronpa 2; trust me its much better than the first game. It will broke your heart, so buy some tissues. I am not kidding, i cried A LOT with the final chapters .

Danganronpa 2 is signifigantly improved from the first game, but be sure to get an idea of the first game's plot before playing! Otherwise the ending will be rather meaningless and confusing.

A 13 episode anime just glosses over the main points, and the DR1 anime isn't really that good tbh.

It's Danganronpa 1 and Danganronpa 2, only V3 has the ''v'' in the title.

I would recommend you see a guide in which order you should play the games on the subreddit.
Watching the Danganronpa 3 (Not V3) anime is highly recommended as well.

I don't like the anime that much, you don't get to learn about the other characters as well as you do in the games.

If you haven't played the first one, go for that. But i think theres a bundle which you can get all three, and I'd go for that if you have a windows.
