Save Data Lost
Hello! So, I have been playing DR2 for the past week with no problems getting back into the game from my last save points, but today when I started up the game like usual to play, my save file had disappeared and I have no idea how to recover it. I was at the very end of the game too, so I would appreciate any help! Thank you!!

sorry im not very tech savy, can you explain this a bit better on how to get to the folder where these files are located?
You need to go to your steam library and then click right on Danganronpa 2, select manage and then browse local files (sorry if there's any mistakes, my steam is in polish and i dunno how it look in english). Folder with all files will open automatically. I hope this is the answer u r looking for
thank you, for the info, but there isnt a manage option for the english version, so idk

This has also happen to me
"First, go to the folder with your Steam save data, most likely:
C:\Users\"computer name here"\Documents\My Games

You will see two save files, one is savedata.vfs and the other should be savedata.bak.
The savedata.bak will be a backup of the last save before the current one that got corrupted.
Make copies of the two files (just in case).
Remove savadata.vfs from that folder and rename "savedata.bak" to "savedata.vfs."
So basically, replace the current save data with the backup data."

Link is working. Make sure you deleted space before ".com" ( do not click directly at it - copy it to web browser)

If there's really nothing and you have/had save files in your game, then maybe you just picked wrong user.

"computer name here" < - at this point

Yep, you can go straight to Documents folder from quick access list (windows 10) or just go to this location C:\Users\'your username'\Documents\My Games\Danganronpa2
You need to place savedata file there, in case it's a zip, rar archive just unpack it into this location with 7Zip or Winrar (programs).

Do you think you could help me out? I tried everything that everyone suggested on google but nothing isnt working for me. Even if i add this file to the save data it just erases itself the moment i turn danganronpa on and replaces it automatically with a new file with no data on it

No idea.
Idk if you tried this but you could disable steam cloud before putting save file into the folder.
You can do this by going into the game properties -> Updates and there should be checkbox for enabling Steam Cloud - uncheck it.
Let me know if it worked.

I don't have a "My Games" folder under documents
I just took a look and it seems the folder "My Games" is in the OneDrive folder now, at least for me it was. You can get there by searching the folders name in your pc, or by following this order: Local Disk > Users > Domains name > OneDrive > Documents > My Games. I hope this helped you.
