Trial 2's Nonsense
Obviously don't read this if you haven't played trial 2 yet, but this isn't story-related so it probably doesn't belong in the other sub forum.

My goodness. The gravel-swimsuit flail. What were they THINKING? This is right up there with the worst Phoenix Wright moments. Girl E chokes out her victim then decides to stuff a bunch of gravel into a swimsuit in order to use it as a flail to finish her off. That's like shooting someone then trying to finish them off with a cheese grater. And we're meant to just infer all of this from the existence of the swimsuit and gravel. A far better mystery is how on earth they thought this makes sense. I'm salty. First "meat on the bone" and now this. They could have at least said that there's gravel in the swimsuit. I hope this is the worst this game has to offer.

I figured it out pretty fast. It made perfect sense. My dad always told me, you can fill a sock with coins to make a weapon. Same logic.

First: Why did your dad tell you that? Second: Your dad didn't tell you "You can fill a sock with mud to make a weapon."

1: It might be helpful to know, and it was for this case.

well I could imagine that filling a swimming suit tied up as a bag with gravel would make for an effective blunt weapon, but it's still quite a big leap in logic you have to take:
.There is a swimsuit
.There is some gravel
.Therefore THE SWIMSUIT WAS OBVIOUSLY FILLED WITH GRAVEL AND USED AS A MURDER WEAPON

I got stuck at it for a while too, especially since I was so convinced that the fish tank was used as a weapon. However, I don't think it should have been removed from the game though, it's just a weird difficulty spike.

Should have used a sock as a blackjack, with the sock being found and noted to have granules of gravel in it. Much more portable and practical than a swimsuit, and a sock being dirty is believable. Extra information like "She doesn't like getting her clothes dirty" or "it wasn't raining that day" would make it possible for the player to make the connection.

This was also one where I gave up and looked in a guide; because the logic was just not very clear to me. In retrospect, sure, it makes sense, but I think the wording of the statement you need to shoot could've been better.

How could anyone ever find out that the swimsuit was a weppen. I eventuly gave up and used every truth bulet on every useable line

no, i think the fish tank gravel was used and it was much smaller compared to regular rocks as shown (i guess their are varying sizes of gravel)

even then its a strech

Heh, glad to see I'm not the only one who thought this. I just got past this part and it's absolutely the dumbest Class Trial moment in this series so far.

Yeah... "The meat on bone" "Meat on the bone" "On the meat bone" etc. That one took me forever just because of the stupid semantics.

The gravel and swimsuit took me nearly 30 minutes and I expired the time limit like 5 times.

Seriously, there are so many possibilities in that scenario.

The fish tank is full of water, so any weapon could be used to murder, say a hammer, then washed in the fish tank, then thrown out the window. If anyone finds the hammer outside, it will be clean and not very suspicious.

Then the fish tank is broken near the body so that the bloody water mixes with the blood on the floor.

Similarly, the vase was full of water. So if fists were used to kill, the hands could be washed in the tank or via the vase. Also, the killer was Sato (a character we don't know), so the possibility of fists being used can't be ruled out. Sato could be similar strength to Sakura or Neko.
