My game has stopped working
I had been playing this game on my laptop for a little while, and it had been absolutely fine (I got as far as finishing chapter 2). One day, however, when I went to launch it, it would not work at all. I would launch it (full screen), and the tab would be invisible. It would also take my cursor as if I was playing. I tried a few different video settings, but to no avail.

Then I tried playing it on my mother's laptop. And, thankfully, it started working again. But that was short lived, as it again stopped working. So, annoyed, I decided to wait for my PC to arrive to play it on there.

But I'm still left with a game that does not work. I've used steam to check the files and it tells me that all of the files are absolutely fine, and I've done stuff like deleting the files and then re-installing them, but it just. Will. Not. Work. It simply does the game thing as before.

I really like this game, and really want to continue playing it, but it's getting to the point where I have no idea what to do. Whatever I try doesn't seem to help.

Does anybody here know of anything I can try to fix this? Any help at all is appreciated! :)

(I use the latest version of windows, if that's important in any way).

I've been having this problem too. Have you found anything out? I emailed support, but they didn't really help.

No, I haven't found out anything at all. Which is really saddening, I want to play this game so much, it almost feels like I've wasted my money.
Many people seem to be having this problem, I hope it will be solved soon.
This problem happens when your save file is corrupted
Delete the folder documents>my games>Danganronpa, after that go to Library>right click on the game and open properties>go to updates and disable steam cloud to prevent steam from reinstalling the save file. After all of that re-install the game, everything should be working fine.
This process will erase your save file, but it seems to be the only solution
I hope it solves your problem

I just tried this, but it's still not working. Thank you for offering a solution, though :) I think I'm just going to refund it at this point, I can't see anything else to do.
