the execution in the opening (final chapter spoilers)

I just noticed it after starting a new game plus, but the person who monokuma executed in the opening cutscene is the headmaster right? His hair seems similar, and he ends up as a pile on bones after the execution, which is all thats left of the headmaster that kyoko found.

Yup, it's implied, but not confirmed, that the first one to be executed was the headmaster.

It is confirmed, the opening execution is Jin Kirigiri the headmaster and later you also find his skeleton in a box

Do you think monokuma executed him since he was the headmaster of Hopes Peak, like did monokuma do that so he can take over? i dont think jin was a part of the past killing game.
