More spoilers, confused again Chapter 5
Kyoko stole a key from the "headmasters room" which she was able to get into in the first place thanks to Sakura breaking the door handle as her final act to defy the mastermind before her death.

So sometime after that everybody decides to go go the headmasters room but when we get there "something" happens in the garden and we are led away, now skip ahead a little bit we now find a strange key on the floor in which Byakuya asks Makoto to go find which doors it unlocks, so i went to the headmasters room... key didn't work.. now heres the thing..

A key of any kind simply is NOT needed at this point because A Sakura had already broken the door handle and B Kyoko was able to get in, so why is Makoto suddenly acting strange and reacting strangely to finding out the door is still locked (which it should't be) and that a key doesn't work on said door.. keeping in mind that the key that Kyoko had was found "inside" the headmasters room which was already techniqually open to begin with..

It's like my previous thread all over again (with Hifumi) where they simply disregard something that is fact like it never happened

My guess is that Monokuma fixed up or got a new door, with a different lock requiring a different key. Considering Monokuma is able to clean up crime scenes like nothing ever happened, I think more then that's possible.

I assumed not every lock was actually broken. I don't see Monokuma replacing locks out of priniciple, because Monokuma operates at a superhuman level compared to the cast so if Monokuma could've replaced one door that implies Monokuma could've done that on all the doors, which means unless you used a key or take advantage of a broken door immediately it'd be useless, but this is clearly not the case.

Also different keys open different doors. For example there is one room that definitely cannot be opened by anyone other than Monokuma. I'm guessing it'd have been pretty boring if you actually have to keep a status update on which doors which key opens so it's just kind of handwaved.

Well in addition to all this, Everybody had found a body of monokuma and began dismantling it, as well as the "possible mastermind" in the garden, but okay.. i won't question anymore how these doors seem to have a mind of their own

When you try to get into the headmaster's room before that scene, you directly can't because Makoto says that Monokuma is likely to have fixed the door.
