yeah i know it sucks
If you are studying japanese these things can be really helpful.(well as long as they use furigana)

Agreed. I'm being disappointed by a lot of Japanese game releases not including the original text.

... hope the situation improves in the future. (psst, I'll buy this game if the Japanese text gets included at a later date!)

Just import or find the PSP version since the English version removed nearly all instances of japanese texts, save for a few CGs in SDR2

"just importing" supports the closed eco system currently in place.
I want to support a proper international release on steam, and that is why I make a request when it's a game I care about.

The decision to discard the original Japanese text in a game like this but to keep the audio is as puzzeling to me as ever before...
So yah, no buy from me, either, as long as this policy is kept in place.

Well they couldn't do anything about it. They have only NISA version of the game to work with after all =\

I know this is simply a troll post so I'm only going take seriousness of this post with a grain of salt.

Some people use these types of games to practice reading the languages in a casual or "normal" situation.

I agree with this it's silly but I guess the publisher knew a large portion of fans who also watch anime prefer the original dubbing over a localized dubbing.

There's no official Japanese version of the game, but since modding is being figured out and made accessible by several people on here, I'm pretty sure it's possible to make a Japanese text mod.

Of course, that's not the same as having the Japanese text in the actual release, but it's something to consider.

Currently in the process of making the game Japanese, just waiting for the thumbs up.

Are you planning to use the Japanese assets from DR 12 Reload? Ripping Vita games is possible now as far as I know so you should be able to rip them.

That's right, it already works, I even managed to recycle the font from it.
The only chore is replacing all the images, since they are a different format.
