Game length
Like the title said, how long is this game for a single playthrough? I know it's different for each people since this is a VN game but, I just want to know how many hours possible to beat this game. Thanks.

It's a pretty meaty game, to be honest. For a very first time playthrough, I think it usually lasts at least 10~ hours. But that's even really assuming you're like, supernaturally good and happen to know exactly where to go and what to do at all times. It could very easyily be more like ~15 hours. howlongtobeat.com puts it at 24 hours, which seems way strane to me.

Wow that's sure is a really long for a VN type of game. Regardless I'm going to play it anyway. Thanks for the answer.

It was 24 hours for me. Well, maybe I alt-tabbed a bit, but I'm sure it wasn't for very long time.

It's a good game, definetly worth the money. If I had 2 more euros I would buy it on steam.
Took me 18 hours to complete the game.

Totally worth it.

Nice. Can't wait to try this game myself.

Danganronpa is like a 20-25 hour game minus trying to 100% it including the bonus mode which inflates it.

7 hours just to finish the first case. Two nights with it <3

I mean i'm pretty smart so I just efficiently travelled everywhere I had to go and it was pretty easy so far. Need to get used to things in cases tho.
*edit: but I do waste a looooooot of time listening to EVERYONE n stuff.

It took me 27 hours to finish everything (yeah, I took my sweet time), but to get every single thing will most likely take about 40 hours (assuming you are lucky with MonoMono machine). I have 31 hours so far, aiming to get everything, so I am curious myself how long it will take.

ha i wouldnt say so it really depends on a person i beat this game in 10 hours (maybe 15 but something in between) when the english patch was out on psp now one thing to keep in mind is that everybody can read in different speeds i read pretty fast so that doesnt take as long and i never had a problem with investigations i finished them all pretty quickly and i only failed on trial 2 if i can remember right so thats the only one i acttualy needed to restart
EDIT just so its known i didnt complete the game 100 percent by that i mean i didnt go back to max out relationships and things i was doing them every free time so no skip but still i never went for a 100 percent completion

The original story took me 20 hours :v

I know I'm a REALLY big outlier, but the main story took me around 35-38 hours. I spent a lot of time taking notes, trying to figure out the mysteries myself, treating it like a proper whodunnit. If you just go along with the flow of the game, it could take you anywhere from 10 hours (if you're really fast and don't want to explore or do extras) to 25 or so if you take time with the main story. Longer if you plan on 100%ing.

main story took around 15 hours for me, doing all of the free time events. However, I'm a pretty fast reader and did make ample use of the quick warp, so you might have a longer playtime.

Of course theres also school mode, which would probably sink 10 hours or more by itself

Well, sure, if you're frequently skipping even the fully voiced scenes and purposely make it a point to rush/speed-read the game, then you might finish it at around 12-15 hours. Other than that, no matter how you slice it, it's frankly quite an unrealistic figure -- especially since you claim you never skipped Free Time.

I'm confident someone could blaze through "Danganronpa" in roughly 10 hours on their second playthrough. But first? I call bull-s-h-i-t. No offense, though. Puhuhuhu. ;-)
