Game files are in .wad container, and can be unpacked and packed again at will. You can change portraits, textures, text, soundtrack, audio samples, etc.

You can use a Wad explorer like the one bellow to unpack and pack the .wad file.

okay I didnt know that shortening, I know that it was something along that lines in JP (I understand spoke japanese and play it with jp voices)

The majority of file formats in the port are identical to the PSP version, so yeah, most of the Project Zetsubou code could be adapted to work with this. I just don't have the time to do it myself.

The font generator works as-is, no problem. You just have to crank the size up by ~66% or so to make it readable on the higher resolution. You can ignore the red bounding boxes--those are just guides based on the line height programmed into the PSP version. They don't apply here.

While playing around with things, I settled on 18pt Meiryo for the main font (up from 11pt used in the PSP version), and 27pt DFSoGei-W7 for the trial font (up from 18) as what I felt most comfortable: https://twitter.com/BlackDragonHunt/status/700795464942137344

I think the one major difference is how the models are handled. They still use GMO format, but all the textures are external TGA files, instead of embedded GIM. This actually makes modifying them considerably easier, though: https://twitter.com/BlackDragonHunt/status/700916943155548164

Could you kindly share the font.pak you've used in your twitter image there? I've just spent almost the entire night trying to get fonts working via the font generator in the super duper script editor, and I just cannot get anywhere near a decent result.

Just a warning: I had to shift the trial font 34 pixels down to get it to line up with the regular font, but I haven't actually tested to see how it looks IN trials, so there's a chance that one might not be usable.
Can someone be kind and explain to the dumb me how to unpack the .pak files ? It would be very helpful :)

You open a command prompt, drag in the pak_decompiler.exe , then the file, type DECOMPILE and then drag the folder you want to extract to.

I also have a question regarding Name parameters and Sound cues ( I.E. Sprite(10, 10, 0, 0, 0) & Voice(10, 5, 0, 8, 100)) Just so I dont have to blidnly recompile to figure it out?
So does anyone know where most of the cutscenes images and stuff are?

They're located in the flash folders in both us and all. They are named fla_[insert number here].pak so you'll need to dig around to find out exactly what cut scene each one is.

It's possible, but you'll have to understand the script in order to do stuff like that.
