(CLOSED) So how does the purple text work???

I'm currently at the part where you're waiting with Sayaka in the dining hall and you have to progress the story further by triggering a "react mode". The tutorial says to right click when the purple text appears. I'm doing this, but it's fast forwarding the dialogue instead. Is there something I'm missing? The tutorial isn't very clear on how to do this. I've been stuck on this part trying to figure out how to progress conversations for almost four weeks now, please send help!

EDIT: I'm using a keyboard and mouse to play the game, sorry for not specifying.

I think you first have to use the arrow keys to select the purple text, then press right-click.

On Xinput controller, press the Y button the select the purple text.

Never played it with Keyboard/Mouse setup, so don't know about this one.

I'll try that. I think I'll edit the post so that others know that I'm using a keyboard and mouse in the event that your suggestion doesn't work and I need more suggestions from people.

Just tried it under Keyboard / Mouse settings.

Right Click on Your Mouse > Use W/A/S/D on your keyboard to select purple text > Then Left Click on Your Mouse.

Also this is explained in the help section, as well as the tutorial in the first chaper.

Use Esc key on your keyboard > Then press Left Shift key to see help on control.

Thank you for explaining in better detail what to do. If this works when I try it, you're getting a shoutout in my playthrough since I'm actually doing LPs of the game on my Youtube channel.
