Story Progression Question
I might consider on purchasing this game but first I have a question. Are the deaths of a character random or the death of someone is just part of the story itself? If so, would I be able to prevent a character's death or what?

You are not able to prevent deaths. It's a linear story; the outcome does not depend on you. It's always the same.

Death of characters are fixed. You have 0 control over story except one single event.

The only time you have a choice is to choose who to hang out with, but it has no effect on story nor you can prevent any killing from happening.

The Deaths are fixed but that works better when it comes to figuring out the murder. I rather have trials which are thought out and made with characters in mind then made with randomly filled slots. >_<

The orignal build of Danganronpa was planned to have choices mattering, but the final product is more of a set quality story. Though you will get to choose how to spend extra events, it won't change the main story.

The original build of Danganronpa called Distrust. It was canceled due to too many complaints on japan regarding intese gore. Danganronpa was made to be a lot more lightheaded and much less gore than original.

The Distrust elements, the original Danganronpa now only exists in Zero Escapes series. Where your choice may prevent/encourage killing, and traverse into various timeline.
