Marriage between players and NPCs

me and my friend are playing stardew together and we are each wanting to marry an Npc each EXAMPLE: I want to marry with Penny and my friend with Leah but we don't know if it works and when I search on Google there are only questions about getting married player with player help me please

Sure you can do that! You need to develop friendship with them, give them the bouquet (sold at Pierre's), upgrade your house and offer theme the mermaid pendant.

Both of u can marry NPC if already give NPC a bouquet, Mermaid Pendant and at least upgrade house (for u) cabin (for your friend) 1 time.

So if only your house had upgrade and your friend cabin have not been upgrade yet, then only u can do marriage.
