opening a 20-30 player rp project farm

Ok. I know I have another coop farm running; but this farm would be different in that it would be a dedicated ROLEPLAY server.

I'd like to run this similar to a harvest moon rp I've been involved with before. I will post a small profile you need to fill out for your player. I'll make some kind of google doc; that has everyone's profiles on it and link it here. Please be patient as the more players join; the more work this would need.

How the actual stardew valley gameplay would interact with rp:
So, I would make a massive ultimate multiplayer farm with like... around 20-30 cabins around town. Each person would be asked where they want to be; I'd put a sign by their house or something to indicate that's where your character lives.
The number of characters who could actually live on the farm as a daily farm life would be very limited. For sake of simplicity and on going rp environment would all share the animals. We would strive to keep at least one of every kind. Players wanting to buy to add for their character would get to pick the names.

Other details about how it would work:
farm will be the basic farm. I'd clear it out on first few days to create an open area to set up mini sectors of the farm where someone could move in and farm about. May install a few wells? Central part of farm would be dedicated to animal coop/barn where we'd fence it and have an door to all the mini farms on property. Space for those to live in that area would be limited. Some would need to choose mine/fish/other lifestyles.

Main Rules:
1. don't be a jerk/troll your fellow rp'ers.
2. when on the server try to keep most interactions IC (this means in character; you wouldn't be playing as yourself. you'd be playing as a character your design in your profile. and yes you can import oc's from other roleplay universes if you can adapt them to fit this setting.)
3. OOC will need to stay on discord. we will make a discord server that would be given a long list of channels for each character who "moves to town". you would use this to post a summarized profile for other players joining. I will provide a profile template to use for basics. Can be tweeked for more or less information.
4. On the OOC note, please do not at any time engage in cybering or erp or other nsfw activities in open channels. Not saying it's not allowed at all; but you should keep it private as everyone has different sensitivities regarding pda's and other types of things.
5. Code of Conduct for roleplay will be posted; and you need to agree to it as it will be a form of etiquette in what's considered friendly/unfriendly.
6. I am the host of this server. If I find your behavior to be too unsavory, I reserve the right to kick you from this project. You don't need to kiss my♥♥♥♥♥or anything; but people who have problematic behavior or harrass other players would create and awkward environment that's unwelcoming to play in for everyone. Don't be that person. If you write a character who is prone to ... less savory behaviors like tendencies towards stalking etc etc..... I also reserve the right to ask you to moderate that. Just because you're playing a game and/or creative writing doesn't give anyone the right to trigger other people.
7. as human beings, conflict MAY arise from time to time. I've seen it in many online roleplay groups. sometimes, conflict has a way of making some people sew discord to the ruin of an entire rp environment. if we are honest and communicate fairly; we can avoid that. please keep this in mind.
8. your invite code will be issued to you after your profile is accepted and we determine where your character will live.

Note a rule but I always play EST. Mostly evenings and some weekends.

As it happens with people, sometimes you have neutral traits or a trait that can be both positive and negative depending how it effects your life. This is acceptable for character as long as you explain how that happens. so in a way it's a double trait and listed twice; once for how it works well and how it works as a negative.

Bio: Gracie had been bequeathed a large farm her grandfather once owned. In the beginning, she felt more than up to the task of putting granddad's old cabin back to rights. However, after a while, she felt like this place was a little much for her on her own.

She spent a while mostly just fishing and making friends with the locals. She decided to put an ad up at the casino looking for a few farm hands to help her fix up her property. Her and her cat Ari got a great idea. She wondered if anyone could help her pull it off.

Good Personality:
Helper of Humanity: Generally helpful and always willing to lend a hand to get something done. It can be helping pick some fall harvest to watching someone's kids for a few hours.

Perceptive - She is very intuitive. Some might call it women's intuition. This helps her pick up on sublteties giving her a feeling maybe it's a good or bad time to talk to someone. This trait isn't without flaws though. It's not a god power to read minds. Sometimes, it can misfire as some people's subtleties don't accurately reflect what's going on with them.

Affectionate: Are you in a bad need of a hug? She will absolutely be there to give you one. or maybe just a high five.

Bad Personality:
Personal Space, what's that?

Me, Clumsy? Psh... only at the absolute worst possible moments

Can get a little overbearing.

hey send me friend requests. please take some time to brainstorm and consider your character designs. roleplay environment will ultimately lead to tying into written rp's somewhere as well. We want this to all push towards a story driven game environment. I will update the profile with one we've been working on that fleshes it out better! Invite codes will not be given until you have a fully fleshed out profile. I'm also still prepping the farm map. and building houses etc. :D

Consider what kind of role you'd like to have. how your character fits into a town. I will also post with the discord channel where we'll be chatting/meeting at to help this process.

to help people understand what this is....
This game will not function as a normal stardew valley game. because you won't be yourself. you will be playing as a character who lives in that game world.

I plan to find a forum solution for where when people can't be in game everytime we're on; that those with alternate professions such as tailoring, interior design, writer, artist etc etc. these could be viable professions. and those people just have to write/play it out. so it should be topics that pop up in their activities. Example:
Someone is named John and he is a post officer delivering mail around town. He stops at the farm and asks if you have anything to drink as it's a really hot summer day. obviously within the confines of the stdv game; he wouldn't be able to actually deliver mail. he would just be socializing and filling in how he was doing it.

I plan to use the discord for a lot of that.... and setting up sub text channels for people to have 1v1 rp's. or group rp's. and each channel is specific to that one rp.
