16 Player Farm
I pretty much turned the farm into a small village lol.

There are 15 cabins plus the host's home. This isn't for long-term play and is just for testing things out.

Depending on how it goes, I might do a 24+ test tomorrow.

i thought the max was 4 players? how tf did you get 16 cabins?
Rhapsodos May 4, 2018 @ 10:06pm
The max is 4 players. I edited my test save to increase that limit.
Rhapsodos May 4, 2018 @ 10:19pm
We hit 5 players, but I need to do more testing on my end before I try this again, probably maxed out LAN game first. Thank you to everyone that came on.

Can you explain what you edited to make this happen? I would like to have a 8 player server with my friends. Thanks :)

9 players on a LAN connection. It was laggy, but only because I had 9 instances of it running: https://imgur.com/ktwaqpE

I used this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/8gmtii/so_with_a_bit_of_save_editing_you_can_have_more/

My process is a bit lengthier and unnecessary, but what I was was create 2 new games: one that I wanted to be the test server with 3 cabins already placed to save time and one to manually place the cabins around. You can only place 3 cabins in a game, so every time I placed them where I wanted them in the 2nd game, I would save and exit. Then, I would open the 2nd save and search for the lines in the XML that the reddit thread tells you to look for and copy paste them into the 1st save. I mainly did this so I wouldn't have to deal with inputting random tileX and tileY values. I would reload the 2nd save, go to Robin's, and change the placement of the cabins. Repeat the save-digging step.

If you decide to randomly input tileX and Y values for the cabins to save time, you can use the SDV save editor to change the placements, like so: https://imgur.com/3TJGy9E
The cyan rectangles represent the cabins

I tried using the same editor you used but all it does is crash whenever I try to import my save :/ Am I doing something wrong?
tell me when it's open again
