I used this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/8gmtii/so_with_a_bit_of_save_editing_you_can_have_more/
My process is a bit lengthier and unnecessary, but what I was was create 2 new games: one that I wanted to be the test server with 3 cabins already placed to save time and one to manually place the cabins around. You can only place 3 cabins in a game, so every time I placed them where I wanted them in the 2nd game, I would save and exit. Then, I would open the 2nd save and search for the lines in the XML that the reddit thread tells you to look for and copy paste them into the 1st save. I mainly did this so I wouldn't have to deal with inputting random tileX and tileY values. I would reload the 2nd save, go to Robin's, and change the placement of the cabins. Repeat the save-digging step.
If you decide to randomly input tileX and Y values for the cabins to save time, you can use the SDV save editor to change the placements, like so: https://imgur.com/3TJGy9E
The cyan rectangles represent the cabins
I tried using the same editor you used but all it does is crash whenever I try to import my save :/ Am I doing something wrong?
