IP Address

Can people only join off of IP Addresses? I'm trying to invite someone through steam but it gives them a prompt for an IP Address.

Also: my friend can only set her server to "Online" or "Offline" while I can set mine to "Friends-Only", "Invite-Only", or "Offline"?

if you are friends on steam you can just join on the co up menu and if you look for the friend ip you can just enter that good luck any way have fun
