Controller lag after 1.16.15 Update

Since the update there is about a full second of lag between pressing/releasing a button and the game registering the input. Works fine with M+KB, but I prefer Controller. This makes fishing and combat nearly impossible with a controller.

Things I've tried:

1. Restarting PC
2.Removing Mods and starting a new game.
3. Reinstalling game and starting a new game without Mods.
5. Reinstalling the redistributibles that the game uses.

In 1.16.13 the library for input was updated (SDL). I guess it broke the controller support for many people.

That's a shame, I was playing just fine with 1.6.13 though. Mine broke after 1.6.15, guess I'll just have to wait and hope it gets fixed.
