I restored the community center with friends on a co-op save file and we never got the achievement. We waited past rainy days and festival days and no cutscene came up after in the town. It's been awhile since I played on this save and see that the joja mart area has turned into a movie theater. idk where we went wrong but i know for sure that we didn't buy the membership for joja at all.

Do you have the achievement unlocked in the in-game tracker?

Joja Mart is eventually converted into a movie theater after finishing the Community Center, so if someone else is the host, they likely finished that when you weren't playing.

I didn't see it in the in-game achievements list and I am the host so im not sure where things went wrong.. the first time we finished it the town was raining so we waited a day and nothing happened

That's odd. The Joja Mart shouldn't be converted into a movie theater until the missing bundle in the abandoned Joja Mart is completed. I don't know what might cause it to skip ahead like that.

As for the cutscene and achievement, you can check your save data to see whether the game thinks you've seen it already. If so, you can delete the event ID in your data to try to make it trigger properly. we did complete the bundle in joja if i remember correctly but im not sure if we did that during the time we didnt trigger the cutscene to the community center.. perhaps it skipped over because we finished that bundle? thank you for the link though
