Villager stalls, Merlins challenges and race not working during desert festival

so on all three days of the desert festival, there have been no villager stalls at all, Merlin gave me a challenge on day one but on the other two days he doesn't, and the race hasn't happened on any of the days. not sure what wrong and haven't seen anyone report this
