can't put wine into a cask
i'm unable to put wine or cheese into casks. i can put in fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as roe. i'm using 1.6, no mods.

You're confusing casks with kegs.
One is for making wine. It can be built everywhere and works everywhere. It won't accept already-made wine because d'oh...
Another is for adding Quality to the wine. It can be placed everywhere but will "work" in house's basement only. It won't accept fruits because there's a new dehydration machine for age'ing fruits...

in my defense it's been a while since i played, and i started a new farm when the update dropped, and, well, they just look so much alike! mystery solved
