audio sounding staticy and fuzzy

hello! id like some help with a problem ive randomly noticed in my game?

specifically in the text sfx, walking on wood, and title screen il hear this prominent white noise when clicking on buttons or walking around. nothing super glitchy or loud but its noticeable and quite annoying..

also when i load in on the startup screen and walk on wooden tiles i hear very staticy sound effects

i know somethings off because i checked my switch version of the game and the audio sounds perfectly fine and crisp. ive swapped headphones, restarted pc, messed with my audio and nothing seems to fix it . the only semi fix ive found is turning off audio enhancement on my headset but that only made the static less loud. i genuinely cant tell whats just a part of the games music vs actual static or white noise???? please help

btw i play with mods so the compatibility mode doesnt work before anyone suggests, and i actually tried it and the issues were still!! there!!! if anyone wants to lmk that either the pc version of stardew just has naturally staticy sfx that would be nice because ive tried everything and i actually have no idea if this is just how the game sounds on pc? or if theres a issue with my game? im going nuts jfc

also this issue is only on stardew valley, no other game! :/
