Can't fish carp

For some reason (ever since the last patch, I believe), I can no longer get any Carp. In 20th of Spring, from 9AM to late afternoon, tried the ponds on the farm and the lake halfway to the wizard's tower. Catching mostly trash, with a few Smallmouth Bass for good measure - but 0 Carp (or Chub either). With a sample size of close to 100, and 0 of the two mentioned fish types, this seems like a bug? :/

Difficulty isn't an issue here, I'm just not catching the types of fish I want - specifically the easier ones (ironically).

You're probably fishing with the Iridium Rod, try changing your rod to a lower one like Bamboo or Fiberglass.

Cheers, will try. :) Managed to catch it in the forest instead (I was too lazy to go there to try during my first test), so it's all good. :)

I think there is still an issue here with the latest patch. I am still carpless after trying multiple rods in various locations for three game-days straight - all I am getting are perch, no carp. First year, winter 19-21. Fiberglass and Bamboo, same results. For a fish that supposedely drops any season, any lake, any time, this is not making sense.

I'm having the same issue! I just starting fishing in the fall of my first year, and now am in mid winter of my first year, and I have spent days, sitting at the lake by the mine and the pond from sun up to almost midnight and not one carp has been caught. I've gotten piles of all the other lake fish that can be caught in winter, but not a single stinking carp.
