Crash in hat shop

1st day of winter (beautiful, favourite season!) year 1, I get stuck buying a hat (the hairclip) from the shop. I get stuck in the shop menu after spending money, can't close it, and eventually get a "stardew calley ahs stopped working" error message. I reloaded my save and tried again to verify that it wasn't a one-off.

I have the same problem, and have had it happen a couple of times. Not sure if it happens with other hats, but if it helps at all, I had it happen in Summer of the 2nd year.

My problem resolved itself. I left it alone for awhile and went back in Spring or Summer and stocked up on hats without issues. Will look for the crash log though.

Hi I had the same problem in Spring and Summer 1st year. Wanted to buy the high up achievement. But my game did not crash it just froze - still playing music and everything clickable - I was only able to solve this by terminating the game from desktop (No crash reports). Any solutions to that?

This bug happened to me today and I decided to investigate it a bit more. If you make sure to buy the first hat (Good Ol' Cap) before attempting to buy the other hats, the glitch is avoided.
