Can't uninstall game. No file under Control Panel.
I've been having issues with the game suddenly refusing to launch. Steam will say it's running for a few seconds but nothing will happen. I've searched everywhere for a fix, but nothing I've tried has worked. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the game to see if that would fix it, but it's not showing up in my Control Panel!

If I go to my Steam folder, the Stardew Valley file is sitting right where it should be under "Common" in "steamapps". But when I go to my Control Panel, the program isn't there, even though all my other Steam games are. I'm at a complete loss. Please help!

This. Right Here.

A lot of people are just being way too ignorant right now to even notice this issue is affecting a lot of people using this. What does it? Mods, conflicts between overwrited files? It doesn't tell you!!

I really like this game and I want to play it some more, but for whatever god forsaken reason it suddenly stops.

Let's all point out we have the same problem, me too, me too, me too! That's all these replies ever are.

So for gods sake, wake up people. Hopefully this thread becomes a win win.

If I'm not mistaken, SV doesn't "install" like most games. You can pretty well just delete the game folder (I'd recommend via Steam) and consider it uninstalled.

You should try deleting startup_preferences from the Roaming\SV folder, people have noted it's fixed the issue of the game not launching. You should check the ErrorLogs folder as well for any logs it may have created.

Thanks for your replies! I actually managed to figure out how to get the game to start up again: My bluetooth speakers automatically shut off while I was away from my computer, so Stardew Valley wouldn't turn on. The game requires an audio source to run, so that fixed it for me. I was still confused about the uninstall procedure, though, so thank you @frisky for your response!

This worked for me... messed up with mods and this restored game back to normal with save intact (: happiness
