Mouse Not Moving Bug

Hi, I was hoping for some help with my mouse. Whenever my character is walking around, my mouse will not move. I have a laptop mouse pad. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, which does not help. When my character is not moving, the mouse behaves normally. It makes gameplay difficult since I cannot move my mouse while running around taking care of animals, harvesting, etc.

Can you move the mouse while holding down keys outside of the game? It may not be an issue with the game, rather the laptop.

You're right! It seems to be a laptop issue. Is there a way to fix this?

Looking on the internet, it seems some laptops have an option to turn off the touchpad while typing. Look for some kind of setting for that.
