Otherwise, I would switch to the compatibility version of the game and see if the issue persists. That's generally the only way to fix issues caused by the 64-bit version.

What silentprotagonistsays 'says' (that sounds weird when read out loud xD) is correct
this is a fairly known issue and for most people with issues with the Standard version the Compatibility version works without any problems so give it a try.
Both versions of the game are exactly the same content and version wise except Standard version runs of MonoGame and Compatibility runs of XNA
I've been trying to find a solution to the issue that doesn't involve swapping to the compatibility version as I would like to keep my mods, sadly I haven't been able to find anything.
