Heart Events and Festivals at the same time

Sam invited me to a band performance in Zuzu City but it's right on the day of the Winter Star Festival :'D Now, what to do. Is this fixable? I have to choose between the two and i ashksjdh idk what to do,

I'm fairly certain the heart event can be done on any day despite the dialogue suggesting otherwise. I don't have experience with this particular heart event, but all other "today" heart events that I know of can be done on any day after the invitation.

If you want to be extra sure, you could make a backup of the save (i.e., copy your save folder and paste it to your desktop or wherever else), then proceed with the festival and attempt the heart event the next day. If the heart event won't trigger, you could replace the save with the backup if you'd rather go back to attend the performance instead.

ahh i see.. i guess i'll just proceed with the festival then and hope that the heart event will pop up sometime in the future >< thank you for your helpp!
