Deluxe Scarecrow Recipe Bug?

I had co-op open on my game when I (as host) bought the last rare-crow from the dwarf. The farmhand playing with me got the mail and recipe the next morning and I did not. Is there any way to fix this? I can't complete the perfection (I assume) without it. We were on ginger island at the time if that makes any difference. I did warp back to the farm and had no mail there either.
Edit: I have also quit the game and attempted to load in without the farmhand present and still had no mail in either location. Farmhand loads back in and still has mail.

Fixed for host. I removed and replaced all rare-crows and slept at the farm in a single player game, and then loaded into the farmhand and they had it in the mail still too. Not sure what the issue was for host, unless somehow I had never carried one of the scarecrows...that would be highly unlikely since I seldom share my game, but the possibility that makes the most sense.
