skull mine insect no dmg

ever since I played multiplayer with my friend, i've been unable to deal any sort of damage to the flying insect of the skull mine. Hammer, sword, dagger, the cosmic sword hammer and knife even. However, my friend has no problem whatsoever killing them. even with his newly created character he kills them easily while I do literaly 0 damage to them. it even shows "0" and plays the shielded sound. I am level 10 combat with both +dmg% upgrade, Cosmic hammer, he has lava katana and level 3 combat by the time I write this.

Now I am unable to kill them in single player mode as well. even in a new save file.

These monster are called Armored Bug, they can't be killed

my friend kills them in 4 hits. (2 or 3, when he crits). it takes a bomb more time to explode than it takes for him to wipe a floor of these bugs.
they also have a drop....
I used to kill them in my old savefil before multiplayer patch (about 6 month ago)

He see the same thing I do. He sees me doing no damage but.... see for yourself : he quite easily kills them.

Before the multiplayer beta, I could kill them (strange but... whatever)

if so then u killing them is probably the bug not the other way around, this is the way the game is supposed to be

The Armored Bugs could never be killed Pre-Beta. Are you sure you arent confusing the Armored Bug with its counterpart that appears in the Regular Mines? But yea, only Farmhands seem to be able to kill them currently. I'm sure this wasn't intentional and will be patched soon.

Am I confusing two things? maybe so...
The most logical thing i can think of is that I had a similar bug last time I played and it was patched before I tried solo play this month. when? I dunno. And now multiplayer has a similar bug that allow friends to kill the armored insect.

Anyway, i'm just glad i'm not crazy and that it's normal (for me, anyway.)
