MERMAID SHOW NOT WORKING

I walk into the mermaid show on the night of the market, and it isn't working. Tried it on all 3 nights and the mermaid did not come out, what am I doing wrong?

The same thing happened to me -- my two other friends could walk in and see it, but i could not get it to play whenever i walked it,, i tried all three nights too. One friend said it took a minute or so, and i basically waited all night and nothing happened. I am not the host player btw.

I am trying it on single player and it still wont work :( I tried all the same things UGHHHH

It works! Just stay in the boat and watch the show. You click on the shells at the end of the singing.

Year 2, I was able to finally watch the show - I don't know why I couldn't watch it in Year 1.

I am in year 2, couldn't do it. Stood in the boat every night until almost 2am and NOTHING HAPPENED

Make sure that you have your volume on. I tried it without the volume and it wouldn't work, but when I actually turned on the volume the show began as normal.

You play this with the volume muted? That's terrible..

Yup, can confirm it's a volume issue, specifically the music volume. Turn the music on, leave and come back.

Okay, so I had the same problem and I did have to turn the music volume all the way up in order for it to activate the mermaid show and for the musical shells to work after the show. It is definitely odd that this is what activated it for me but it did work
