MULTIPLAYER: Co-Op Player paid for 2ND Basement Cellar Upgrade

I (HOST) purchased a basement cellar upgrade for my farmhouse for 100k. A few game days later, my girlfriend (CO-OP PLAYER) went to Robin and was able to purchase a basement cellar upgrade too. We had no idea at the time that cellars could only be used for the main house (HOST). We didn't want to recreate the bug because the upgrade costed 100k, and it was devastating to lose that much money for us.

MORE DETAILS:
My girlfriend plays the game in full-screen mode. The game day before the incident, she had back to back cutscenes with NPCs. The first was with Abigail outside of Robin's house next to the river, when they played music. My character (HOST) was also present in that cutscene area. After the cutscene, my girlfriend went inside Robin's house only to be greeted with a second cutscene with Demetrius and Maru in the laboratory. When that cutscene ended, she appeared outside of the house and had to go home for the day since the store closed. The next day she was able to approach Robin in her house and ask for a cabin upgrade, to which Robin responded by saying "I'll work on this tomorrow." 100k was taken from our total amount of money displayed.
(I don't know if any of these details matter, but just trying to recreate the events that led up to incident)

OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 10 Home, Version 1903
We both run the same operating system.

Both our current content BuildIDs are also the same: 4665301
Also for what it's worth, I play the game with borderless windows.

you are mistaken, client gets a cellar for his lodge as well, so the real bug woud be when she dont get here cellar.
are you both use the actual version?

If I am mistaken and there's a way to get 2 different cellars, then the bug is that it never came but our money is still missing. By version I assume you mean of Stardew Valley? We didn't download any mods or anything like that, just playing the base game in co-op mode.
