Linus basket quest vanished on restart, single player in beta

I woke up one morning in Fall and received the quest to find Linus' basket, then had to exit the game before that day finished. When I restarted the game, I did not receive the quest in the mailbox (as I should have), and it wasn't in my list of quests.

It has been several in game days now and the quest hasn't reappeared. I checked to see if his basket was in the usual location, and it wasn't. Blackberry season has finished now, so I assume there simply will be no Linus basket quest this year. I'm curious to see if maybe it shows up next Fall.
