Report a translation problem
People seem to be saying that opening a chest in a new save made in the beta makes the chest no longer appear in other saves made in the beta.
Interesring so therefore weneed to delete all saves and start one without creating any chests till day 5...lame I guess I'll wait until they patch it

I appreciate the effort and detail in your post but to be blunt, I dont consider starting an entirely new game a work around, I would more likely just not continue to play stardew valley heh.

You can edit your save file to change all the chestleft values to what they should be
(1).
I have a feeling the root cause of this as others have mentioned is that it copied the values of the mines from another one of my saves so there are probably other residual bugs in the mines but I guess this is a reasonable work around for me.
