A weird problem with Sam
Well since the game updated today I got this problem, I activate Sam's Two Heart Event after giving him a pizza on his birthday and I notice something weird, Sebastian's head starts kind of dissapearing while he is playing and after he is done he just loses part of his hair, then the event play as normal and Sam asks what kind of music do I like, no matter the response I give the game makes me answer again and again in an infinite loop so I close the game, start it up again to see if that fixes it, same thing and all but I notice that the game skipped a day since it was no longer Sam's birthday.
I'm 100% sure it is not a mod conflict because none of them change anything about Sam (like dialogue and that stuff), I just have some portraits but they have never give me a problem like that, this stuff just happened after that little update.
Can anyone help or do I just avoid the event like the plague?

I'm having something of the same problem. Nothing happens to Sebastian in my game but I get stuck on the question about what type of music I like and it just asks the question over and over again. I tried running the game without SMAPI and at that point it just crashes instead of looping the question. SMAPI gives me this error message:

now, the event is skippable and everything seems to run fine afterwards, but I read that skipping this event means you don't make a music choice so a later concert event has no music playing. i'd like to avoid that if possible.

This is happening to me too; is it a conflict wih a mod?

i tried it with no mods and without even SMAPI running and it still crashed instead of getting stuck so i don't think it's a mod

I was told to try re-verifying the files through Properties...will let you know how that goes ^^;
