Smoked Legendary Fish price!!?

Okay, so i was not planning to keep the legendary fishes, so I just smoked them (1.6 new item). I did not expect the price for the legend. HAHAHA

I was low key expecting 69420, but not bad either way.

smoked fish have double the value of unsmoked, it also counts as an artisan good for the purpose of the artisan perk as well as keeping the bonuses from fisher and angler and it's quality bonus.

So for a Gold Legend your 7500 base, 11250 for angler, doubled for smoked to 22500 then multplied by 1.4 for artisan. giving you 31500 max.

just multiply the base value by 2.8 to save the maths if you have all the perks.

Theoretical max is 42,000 for the Legend but that needs Iridium quality and that's not happening if you play the fishing game legit.

Unfortunately, I didn't have artisan on this particular character, but yeah sell price is really good. Also roe.

Using quality bobber it very much is possible, no? Legends fishing spot is far enough to always be gold on non perfect catches, so quality bobber ups that to iridium.
And with the new advanced iridium rod you dont even have to sacrifice the trap bobber for it.

Fun fact: If you don't complete the Qi quest for the Extended Family you can catch each fish as often as you like. Allows for some hilarious shenanigans.

Seafoam Pudding, Luck rings (so the fish dart less often), Cork Bobber + Quality Bobber, Deluxe Bait, to all maximise Bobber Bar size and to boost quality by +1 if you detach once.

If you detach twice, abort fishing and try again.

It still takes a loooot of luck though, I have managed to get the Legend iridium a few times, but it was sheer luck that it darted really nicely.

Legend is amongst the most erratic darters and it makes it tremendously hard to get even Gold quality in some luck cases.
