why are you using coal to smoke fish anyways?
I think it should at least have the option of taking wood instead of coal... like 10 wood, 1 hardwood, or 1 coal.
it would also be interesting if you could fuel furnaces with hardwood...
That's what the charcoal kiln is for. to turn wood into coal
but then how would the game decide which one it will put into a machine? nobody wants to accidentally put the wrong thing in.
how do you select two things at once? e.g. a fish smoker would need a fish and a fuel.
plenty of people have complained about accidentally turning their legendary fish into sashimi.
but honestly w/e solution you come up with, it would probably be unintuitive enough to need a tutorial, and therefore be bad.
"Liquid smoke" is a thing - but it's closer to pickling/salting poor thing.
The is a recipe from greenland involving fermented shark-heads, so ... why not for SV? :D
(on a seemingly unrelated matter, I wonder where Pam hides her still...)
