Cave bats or mushrooms?

I have always gone mushrooms every time but I like the idea of getting the cave bats for fruit mainly so i can actually finish community center a bit faster and for endgame when I can just decorate the little cave.
What do you usually choose?
Mushrooms always seemed so nice since I can have even more resources always avaialbe on my farm.

At some point he had mentioned that he was going to switch the mushrooms to every other day in the 1.6 update. But, I think that was before he even started on the update. So I do wonder if he remembered or not. HAHA

The thing with bats as their RNG makes using them to complete the community center unreliable. I find more salmonberries than and wild plums than anything.

If I'm playing a little more seriously I always go mushrooms as they are just more reliable long term. If I'm being more relaxed and don't care about progress as much I go bats because it means not having to check every single day.

I almost always do the Mushroom cave. I did one save with the Fruit Bats, and honestly it didn't really help me finish the community centre any faster, I usually find the fruit I need at the Travelling Cart. And once the community centre was done, I found the Fruit Bat Cave fairly useless. By that point I have my own fruit trees going, and I'd much rather have the different mushrooms for crafting/cooking than a few more fruit that I already get fairly often from my farm.

mushrooms if you check the cave everyday.
bats if you only check once in a while.

bats might be a bit more useful from community center perspective though, potentially saves you some money for fruit trees. though not sure how realistic it is to get 3 apples from it.

I always go cave bats. The early game fruit is nice for bundles and gifts/money, and with endgame I decorate my cave :D It's also nice not having to check the cave every day. Can wait half a season and check it for lots of fruits on the floor. I know for more combat heavy players I believe the mushrooms are better - so.. depends on play style!

i always choose the bats. I love bats, in real life they are so cute - so there isn't any tactical reason for me.. but yeah the fruits are very (!) helpful with the community center. I finished so many bundles with the help of these little cuties.

ive tried both and i like the cave bats more, i think fruit is more useful in the game

I used to go bats, but recently as I was starting over again, I decided I should do mushrooms for simple reason - I like fruit trees and how they look.

Isn't it bats are more profitable, but mushrooms are harder to get?
