Seeing some concerned players that there was no update first thing today but Ape said on Twitter when asked exact time on the update it will happen "during the day, I need to be awake and present for the update launch, and I'd like to sleep tonight" so please remember to be kind

added to that all the activity on discord broke the server, Discord thought it was being spammed. So that is delaying things slightly

Quite often, updates won't register until your steam client restarts... Just reboot steam every hour or two.

It'll go into your DL Queue (where it sits for a while and waits); if you launch the game before it background updates, it'll do it then.

If you have it set up to auto update in your setting it will which if you haven't changed anything it usually the default setting for steam :)
