Tool Enchantment

I´m trying to enchant my axe to get the shaving trait, but I get efficient every time, i reload save, efficient, I go another day, efficient...

I continue reading the wikia in case I´m missing something, but it just says it´s random, then why am i getting the same one no matter what I do?

I had the exact same issue as well with my fishing rod. I would always get the same efficient enchantment I didn't want no matter how many times I reload my save and no matter how many days have passed since I last tried it.

i've never bothered with the forge before but what i've read online is that the first enchantment is always the same at the start of the each day

I.E if you go to sleep when you wake up the day picks an enchantment and if you keep reloading the first enchant will will always be the same you have to do it 2 or more times to get a different one

not sure if this is accurate though like i said i've never bothered with the forge before to test it

doin a bit more reading into it and i think you have to enchant a different weapon/tool and then enchant the one you want for it to progress

here is what the wiki says: Each weapon or tool can have only one enchantment at a time, and the applied enchantment is random. However, another enchantment can be applied (at the same price) to replace an existing one. Tools track the previous two enchantments applied to them so they're not reselected when applying a new enchantment.

So if you want a different enchantment then the one you got the first time, you have to re-enchant the tool using more cinder chards, This may seem expansive, but its the best way to make sure you have the best chance of getting the one you want.
By resetting the day and going to the forge again, you spend a lot of time and only have the chance of getting the same enchantment over again.

So in other words, RELOADING will not get you a better chance of getting the enchantment you want,

Yeah I have being reading online about what exactly "random" means in the game.

Apparently tons of "random" things are actually choosed on the beggining of the game, like a list, detailing the order you will get everything. Not only did I get the same enchantment but also happened with Artifact Troves, I went on one day and oppened 4 of them, then reload and did it again, same artifacts, then reload didn´t open them and completed the day only to open them the next day... same objects.

Apparently, if you do the same action for some other object, that list may change, enphasis on may. So you getting an enchatment you don´t want, indeed the only solution it´s to either spend the mats to enchant again, or just enchant something else, then the object you want and pray it´s a different enchantment, same for the troves, if you are not getting what you want, open other type of geode, then back to the troves.

There´s even a page where PC players can check on their save the next programmed enchantment for all tools and weapons so you can see how many times for you to get the one you want.
