I'm new to this and i'm trying to marry haley. She keeps ignoring me and roasting me, she said my shoes are made of plastic. I gave her bug guts as a present and she got mad at me, so not going good so far

Who did you marry first though?

I wanna have kids so i can make them water the crops for me every day

on the farm I just played, I am currently married to: Elliot and Sebastian, Leah, Maru, Emily, Harvey, Haley, and Abigail. Yes I am married to all of them at the same time.
We also have a total of 10 toddlers and babies in the house.
Have progressed to Monday the 8'th of Summer year 3.
This farm is my fasted run to 100% perfection.

When you play co-op can you marry the person you play co-op with? Or is it only the npc that can be married?

you can marry other players in co-op but its a bit of a pain since you need to craft a wedding ring which requires endgame mats

I married Leah, I just like her overall character. Emily would be my close 2nd with Hayley being 3rd, although her arc is arguably the best of all the bachelorettes.

SPOILER [/spoiler]: if you date ALL the bachelorettes at the same time (before proposals) a special even will happen, Give them all the bouquet then enter Haley and Emily's house in the afternoon. You will find all of them there talking about you. They get mad at you and throw you out of the house.

I've married every bachelor and bachelorette in the game (yes I have played that many times). The first one was Elliott, but my favorites are oddly Shane and Haley because they show the most personal growth. My least favorite (though not because I hate her) is Emily because I can't break my man Clint's heart...

Haley likes daffodils early on and then sunflowers and coconuts are best (her birthday's also in spring early in game so a daffodil that day goes a long way). Later in game when you're married pink cake and fruit salad are beloved favorite treats. Do not give her your diamonds or prismatic shards, she hates them and they are much better used elsewhere.

Side note: after years playing this game I find myself increasingly annoyed at most of the marriage candidates, especially the younger ones, because damn kids I'm busting my ass hauling 200 pumpkins around in my backpack and you're inside all day playing video games and lazing around (I'm looking at you Sebastian and Abigail)...telling me you repaired my non-broken hardwood fences, watered my sprinkler-irrigated crops, and fed my auto-fed animals does NOT count as pulling your weight...
