I'm new to this and i'm trying to marry haley. She keeps ignoring me and roasting me, she said my shoes are made of plastic. I gave her bug guts as a present and she got mad at me, so not going good so far

Who did you marry first though?

I wanna have kids so i can make them water the crops for me every day

well you cant get the kids to work on the farm as they dont grow up.
secondly, you have to give people gifts they like to get them to like you.
Once you get the person you like to 8 hearts, you can give them a bouquet to start to date them, then once you get them to 10 hearts you have to give then the pendant to propose to them ,

I married everyone......married to 21 people at once using a mod.

The Robat at Maru events got me. Little tip, you give flowers to everyone and see all the 10 hearts evets so you can choose after who you prefer. I was with Leah at fiorst but the robot got me !

the best gift for haley is sunflowers she loves them and they can be grown in both summer and fall and each time you harvest them you have a chance to get a seed back its a win win gift

For me it varies based on farm and farmer.

My miner, went to the mine so often that Maru was a natural choice. He passed by her house pretty much every day, always had extra gems and such which she likes, and it just was a basic fit.

My rancher, who focuses on animals is going to go for Haley, well because she likes animals.

Another character who is turning forest farm into a winery, is going for Leah, because she likes wine.

My riverside farmer who fishes a lot and has a bit of a sailor theme going clothes wise, is going with Emily. Sailor and girl working at saloon thing just seems to fit.

My true farmer who focuses on crops, is going after Penny. She tends to like flowers, and the farmer and school teacher thing works even if a bit cliche.

And last but not least, my sort of goth character on the farm where monsters come out at night, who only wants to monster hunt most of time. Isn't Abigail the most natural match up for that?

That's an awesome way of doing it actually. I only have my 1 character so far, I'm going for haley simply because my character's name is Henry so i thought it goes well with haley

But somehow I have a lot more hearts with Abigail than i do Haley, even tho I wasn't trying for her

Early on you can just toss daffodils at Haley because she's basic, and then if you unlock the desert bus reasonably early then you can just throw her some coconuts, she's sooooo easy
