easiest way to make $$$ is to sell all crops, eggs, job board quests, best crops are
potato, calliflower, starfruit, melon, eggplant(wait is that a first year crop? i cant remember) wheat is cheepest crop but has no profit at all.
sorry for any typos!

Well ... farming ... it is a farming simulator after all.

Efficiency is of course the name of the game, as well as Return-On-Investment.

Optimally, you want to maximize your farming skill and cash-crop intake prior to the Egg Festival, at the Egg Festival you want to buy as many Strawberries as you can afford. You'll want to roll that cash into Blueberries (and Hops) come Summer.

Watch the growth cycles though, Out of season crops DIE, so if you sink a lot of cash into Potatoes on day 27 of Spring, then that's money wasted.

To really maximize profits, you'll need to process your raw produce into Artisanal goods, that however takes infrastructure, Kegs and Preserves Jars (and various other pieces of gear), and it's expensive to build those. (Mayo machines, Bee Houses, Cheese presses, looms, etc). Mostly though ... lots of Kegs and lots of Preserves Jars.

If you LIKE the fishing interface, a lot of people prefer to do that during the first week or two. Those who are good at fishing can make quite a lot of money that way.

The returns from conquering the mines accelerate rapidly due to the checkpoint every five floors. Sell spare weapons at the adventurer's guild.

Foraging is quick to level up by growing seasonal wild seeds and trees, with a huge income skill at max level. Upgrade to a steel axe to unlock hardwood sources west of cindersap.

Make friends with Caroline and visit her sanctuary behind the kitchen.

Investigate the trees between Clint's smithy and Joja to improve your trash panda skills.

In general every source of profit starts out slow and buying the upgrades as you expand is a constant money sink. Pick one you enjoy and focus on maximising it to be the engine that funds the next project. If you try to level up everything at once it's all expenses and no paydays.

My go-to in Spring is to obtain as much gold as I can, obtain the speed-gro reward from the community center - purchase as many strawberries on the festival day, and plant them on the same day.

Other than that, it's mostly a question of how to best manage energy, and to determine if an item if better for its gold value or for its energy value. Obtaining sprinklers, and pickaxe/axe upgrades early is important in the long run

So, I know it seems like you want to save what little money you have.

Abandon that though. Spend your first seasons money AS YOU GET IT. And honestly, probably summer too.

Save what you have to for the community center...

BUT SPEND IT ALL WITH RECKLESS ABANDON!!!

There's min/maxing, and that's cool but honestly, just spend the money on seeds and sell the produce. Later on you can think about efficiency.

Fishing. Since the emphasis seems to be on quickly, nothing else will even come close during the first spring.

1 Year Spring can be a bit tricky for new players, What I am suggesting does not focus on getting Community center stuff done, so adjust it a bit you are trying to fill in the spring stuff for the Community center right away.

I personally find the strat is set up between the first 13 days (Days 1-13) and the last 15 days (day 14-28 of spring.)

Day 1 - Get the Parsnips down and run through the whole map (Main three sections is the Southern Woods, the Mountain and the Beach) to grab as much forage items as you can. Once than, try to get as much wood as possible (ideally looking to get around 350, 50 for a chest and 300 to fix the lil bridge on the beach) This also helps by getting a lot of sap put away for later.

If you get a bunch of spring onions, be sure to eat them for day 1 to restore energy so you can get your wood requirement asap.

Day 2 - read the letter from Willy and get to the beach to get that starting fishing road, itll be the main source of income up to day 13. make sure to grab forage items from the beach every day, You want to sell all the first you get (minus one of anything you need for the Community center)

Note - Fixing the bridge gives access to the other half of the beach, Coral and Sea Urchins are commonly found drops here, valuing at 80g and 160g each, and is a nice way to boost up your personal funds, on top of fishing and other forage items.

Day 3 to 12 - Water any plants you have, pick up any foraging from at least the beach then get to fishing. An important note, All that sap you saved up, craft it into Basic Fertilizer (Requires 2 sap each to make and level 1 farming, which you should have after the Parsnips are ready to Harvest) This will be helpful on Day 13 and set up big money gains for the rest of Spring.

Day 13 - This is the important Festival day and where all that hard earned money so far will come to play. I would make sure to till a bunch of the land and if you can, pre-water all the spots and place all the Basic Fertilizer as you can down but make sure you make it to the town center for the Festival on time, you can not miss it! (Get there before 2PM game time)

Once at the Festival, First thing you want to do is talk to Pierre at the stand, he has some stuff for sale, One item you need, Strawberry Seeds. They are 100g each, so all that money you've been earning from fishing and other sources will come in play now, buy every seed you can (Ideally you want at least 50 seeds or more)

After you bought them and enjoy the festival. You will get back home from it at 10PM, that gives you just short of 4 game hours (or about 2 1/2 minutes in real life) to plant all those strawberry seeds on the plots you pre-set in the Morning. since you watered and fertilized it all, it should be simple enough, make sure to get into bed before 2am so you don't get a big energy drain for the next day.

Day 14 to 28 - Strawberries are a re-growing crop, so when its time to harvest, it can be used again without re-planting. So make sure to water them all each day, With this set up you can get 2 full harvest before the end of the Spring Season.

After they are all watered, you can take time to go fishing or anything else to supplement your gold income for the season.

Base Strawberries sell for 120g each, so for each seed you bought, you will have a profit of 140g for each. With the Basic Fertilizer, there is a better chance for silver and gold star crops (value at 150g and 180g respectively). You should see at least 40% profit from your costs for the seeds, and more importantly, a big jump in farming exp and level, which will improve crop quality rates, And if you hit lv 5 you can boost the value of crops further.

Ideally with this method and the decent gains from fishing as well, you should Enter Summer season ideally with at least 12,000g or more,
Rush sprinklers and scale your farm

without spoilers, Add sprinklers ideally the quality ones at farming 6 and preserve jars at farming 4 or kegs at farming 8.

My GENERAL route. is start out plant crops ideally potatoes, get money, buy strawberry seeds at the spring festival, 90-100 ideally so 10,000 gold since they are 100 a pop, get 2 harvests sell them after farming 5 upgrades my crop prices 10% make a good 30,000K and farming 6.

go into the mines, using foraging 4 to get 2 salmonberries per bush during salmonberry season and using those bushes stamina to get to floor 80+ for gold.

grind up gold ore into gold bars. and iron ore into iron bars. and we can do quartz into refined quartz in a smelter but its better to use fishing trash if we got fishing 4 and crab pots.

try to make 25+ quality sprinklers.

summer comes. buy 150 Hops starters for 150x60= 9000 gold. use the 25 qualty sprinklers to make 3 rows of hops. each watering 6 plants. couple scarecrows inside too.

hops provide 17 harvests 17x6x150= enough XP to get farming 10 for artisan. during this time we unlock the spa area, and clear cut it and plant Oak trees above the tracks and Pine trees below the tracks.

the pine trees get harvested for wood, and replanted, the oak trees get tapped for oak resin and moss. if we get to foraging 7 we might want to use tree fertilizer on the oak trees.

eventually we get the wood and oak resin and iron and copper and start making kegs. we can upgrade the house and shove them in the basement we can buy a big shed and shove 137 kegs in there. if you have 137 kegs, it would take 38 days to process your hops. each pale ale sells for 420.

so 150x17x420=1071000

you've turned 9000 into 1071000. by starting a brewery. and scaling up.

alternatively you could get 150 quality sprinklers. cover 1200 tiles of farmland and just plant lets say blueberries. 1200 tiles x80 blueberry seeds cost costs about 96000

you get 4 harvests of 55x3 value blueberries which is 792,000. higher initial investment lower money but all you need to do is get more blueberries and next season you could do cranberries. without needing to do the whole brewery thing to add value.

fishing lots and lots of fishing, i usually have 50k gold and fishing level 10 by the end of spring (thats 50k in profits not counting the gold i spent on bait and fishing rod upgrades and crops and all that stuff)

The trick is that you don't just want to make X amount of money quickly, not really. What you want is to build a system that generates Y money per day forever. As soon as you have one of those it's easy to make more.
